Blessed Brown is a seasoned commercial professional with over 40 years of experience in the entertainment and digital media industry, including studio recording, as a songwriter, studio and media production, concert promotion and marketing, project management and business development. He is a proven leader with a track record of creating and managing lucrative profitable organisations in the commercial entertainment and financial sectors.
His many tours as a musician took him throughout Hong Kong, India ,Germany, and France in the 1970s, before he began his professional career in the early 1980s as a singer-songwriter and assistant recording engineer at the world's largest independent music company at the time, "Island Records International" in London. He worked extensively on several albums projects by some of the music industry's biggest names, including Bob Marley, Grace Jones, and David Bowie. He also worked as a songwriter and producer for Rondor Music Publishing Group, writing successes for big names such as Gregory Isaacs and Dennis Brown, the Crown Prince of Reggae.
In the 1990s while still at Island Records, Blessed joint the UK-based organisation, Massive Force Concerts & Promotions. This company organised extensive performances for countless big industry names in music including, Take That, Spice Girls and Stones and Roses. In addition, Blessed also established a transatlantic enterprise called, Jamaica Pleasure Concerts & Events UK and Jamaica, which produced and marketed concert events for the likes of, Destiny’s Child, Snoop Dogg, The Isley Brothers, The Pussycat Dolls, DMX and Black Street to mention a few. Blessed’s expertise in cost budgeting and marketing accumulating big profits, was and is the engine behind these companies triumphs and well-known music artists fortune today.
Blessed is a successful businessman. He is the founder of Jamaica Pleasure Trading, an export company that sells various products throughout the West Indies. He is also a private consultant and financier, providing advice and investment capital to businesses in the entertainment industries, and also goods and services.
Having spent 25 years in the music industry, working in multiple countries, and with all types of businesses from large corporates to individual entrepreneurs and artists, Blessed gained invaluable skills in performing compliance across all the aforementioned sectors.
For the last 15 years, Blessed Head of Compliance for Billion Global Group of Companies, a conglomerate with interests in the banking, financial and craft spirits sectors. He has been responsible for on-boarding all the entities that BGC works with, whether they are financial partners or clients. He also ensures that the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations and related procedural agreements in conjunction with our lawyers.
Göran Svensson is an international executive and business developer with over 30 years of experience in the logistics, investment, and consulting sectors. He is a proven leader with a track record of success in building and managing businesses in multiple countries.
Göran comes from a family with a long history of entrepreneurship, which instilled in him a strong sense of business acumen and determination. He began his career in the family business, which specialized in logistics and trade.
After gaining valuable experience in this field, he decided to start his own business in Bulgaria. His company quickly became a market leader in the logistics sector, and he expanded its operations to include freight forwarding, warehousing, and customs clearance.
In addition to his business experience, Göran has also held a number of advisory and board positions in major corporations. He is currently the Managing Director of Alpha Bulgaria, a public investment company registered on the Bulgarian stock exchange. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Bulgarian-Nordic Chamber of Commerce and the Institute of Traffic Safety in Bulgaria. Previously, Göran was the Honorary Consul General for Sweden in Sofia, Bulgaria, a position he held for more than 6 years. He also held a position as Chairman of the Management board of Lev Corporation, a holding company and a major shareholder in the largest insurance company in Bulgaria
Göran is a respected figure in the business community and is known for his expertise in the Balkan market. He is also a passionate advocate for entrepreneurship and economic development. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and events, and he is always willing to share his knowledge and experience with others.
Tom got his start working in the family construction company. Due to family health issues, Tom left his father's employment and went to work for Sutherland Lumber Company in 1983. Tom flourished in the areas of customer service and working with builders. While employed with Sutherlands, Tom completed their management training program and quickly rose to become one of youngest store managers in the company’s history. Additionally, Tom was responsible for corporate buying, contract negotiations and became well known as a problem solver. Sutherlands would frequently send Tom to troubled stores to identify problems and empowered him to put forth and implement plans to return the stores to profitability.
Tom accepted a position with the Department of Veterans Affairs in 1989 and was employed as a warranted Contracting Officer/Contract Specialist, 1102 series. Tom automated systems for creation of boiler plates for supplies and services contracts which were later utilized by the GSA and DLA agencies. Additionally, Tom provided oversight for the implementation of “Just-In-Time” inventory control systems for Supply and Distribution Divisions of Acquisition and Materiel Management.
Tom contracted for and managed several large construction projects and served as authorizing agent for all draws and disbursement for project costs. Additionally, Tom was the complex capital equipment Contract Specialist. Tom served as point of contact for the Inspectors General’s office regarding contract reviews and facility adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations and Veterans Administration Acquisition Regulations. As his final project for the US Government and Department of Veterans Affairs, Tom completed a complex A76 evaluation of the costs of Government provided laundry services, and related delivery system, as they related to obtaining similar services from the private sector.
Tom began his career in the private sector in 1994 as a consultant working with Hospitals and medical services providers and as an independent contractor for international business opportunities. Tom successfully negotiated with Hillcrest Rural Health Services and many other rural medical service providers to bring mobile Nuclear Medicine Services to Oklahoma. At this time, he further established himself in the market as a problem solver in real estate and began structuring real estate transactions for brokers across the country. Tom has owned a branch of a mortgage bank and has worked with hundreds of affiliated licensed brokers in both the United States and Internationally through Realty Financial Group, LLC.
Over the last five years, Tom has worked to expand his capabilities in international banking/financing, commodity trades, and precious metals refineries. Tom has recently entered into a management opportunity which will merge the traditional banking services with those of the telecommunications world. This exciting opportunity will be the first of its kind offering a complete single source solution for banking, telecommunications and streaming entertainment for both the banked and the unbanked consumer. The business structure can accept direct deposits and withdrawals which will transact just like the current checking or savings account at traditional banks via debit cards administered by Visa/Mastercard platforms.
Tom has worked with the BGC Group of companies for almost a decade. His rich experience will be invaluable to BGC Fund, especially with his unique knowledge and access in the USA market.
